Live in Log Cabin

Welcome to the City of Log Cabin! We are proud to boast a citizenry comprised of individuals from all walks of life, which provides a rich variety of backgrounds and experiences. If you are new to the city, there are a few things you should know:


  • Log Cabin is a Type A, General Law municipality with a population of less than a thousand residents.
  • City Council meetings are regularly schedule for the third Thursday of each month at 7pm, typically in the Meeting Room of City Hall.
  • If you intend to build/install a home, fence, swimming pool, porch, deck, solar panels, etc., you will need to submit a building permit application. More information about permits can be found here.
  • Dogs are required to be registered with the City annually, per Ordinance 1 Animal Control. You may register your pet at City Hall.
  • Annual Registration/Permits are also required for home or commercial security alarms and ATVs/UTVs/SxS/Golfcarts. 
  • Residents of Log Cabin are eligible for an Annual/Season Park Pass for the City Park, which includes use of the boat ramp, for $12.00 for the 2 passes and then $25 for additional passes.
  • The City and Parks Committee host a variety of fun community events throughout the year for Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Keep your eye on the Website and City's Facebook page for updates!
  • The discharge of fireworks and firearms is prohibited in city limits.
